Johnny Quick

Here is Johnny Quick. Father of Jesse Quick, who gains
his super speed by speaking the mathematical formula: 3x2(9yz)4a.
This really isn't a formula, is only a single term! e=mc2 is
a formula because of the equality. Oh well, its a comic book.
Max Mercury tries to convince Johnny the
formula is only
a crutch. Johnny is tapped into the "speedforce" reguardless of the
formula. Read the Flash collections Terminal Velocity and Dead Heat
for more info (and great reads besides!)

Johnny was made out of a Famous Cover type 1 male body. I made the costume,
and had fun trying to make the squared-off collar. I think it turned
out much better than my earlier attempt with
Doc Samson, who has a simular shirt. The shorts and boots came from a
Daredevil figure. I forget where the belt came from, but it was some
12" GI type thing, and I trimmed the length of it. His logo, which
was drawn different in every comic he appeared in, is made of several
small pieces of black PVC tape.

The yellow hands came from a Vision figure. I actually painted them a little
more gold to match the material of the pants and glove cuffs. The head
is from a Green Arrow figure that was shrunk with acetone. I had to
carve in the neck a little bit to get it to fit on the FC body. I am
very please with the results.
Check out all of my speedsters.
